SIGNAL
DNV has officially released Recommended Practice DNV-RP-F123, providing a technical framework for the design, operation, and re-qualification of offshore hydrogen and blended gas pipelines. Based on empirical data from the H2Pipe Joint Industry Project (2021–2026), the standard addresses material integrity risks such as hydrogen embrittlement and supplements the existing DNV-ST-F101 submarine pipeline standard. The H2Pipe project unites 37 operators, manufacturers, and research institutions. The规范 applies to both new builds and the re-qualification of existing offshore infrastructure. Phase 3 of the project has commenced, featuring full-scale pipe testing at the DNV Spadeadam facility to further validate data.
