SkyGen Leveraging China’s SAF Capacity to Serve Airlines’ Green Transition

As global aviation accelerates its decarbonization journey, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) has become the cornerstone for airlines meeting ESG commitments and regulatory mandates such as CORSIA and ReFuelEU. Yet significant barriers remain: limited supply, fragmented certification processes, and high costs—particularly in Asia, where a rapidly scaling SAF production base in China remains underutilized by international carriers due to gaps in standard alignment, traceability, and logistical coordination.

Enter SkyGen™, the dedicated SAF solutions brand under U3 Global FuelLines Global Aviation (FLGA). SkyGen is not a fuel trader—it is an integrator. By systematically connecting verified Chinese SAF producers with global airline demand, SkyGen delivers end-to-end SAF solutions that are compliant, cost-efficient, and operationally seamless.

China now accounts for over 1.8 million metric tons of annual SAF capacity, primarily via HEFA pathways using waste cooking oil (UCO) as feedstock—offering lifecycle GHG reductions of 70–85%. Leading facilities, including Sinopec Zhenhai, Jiaao Lianyungang, and Junheng Puyang, have secured ISCC EU or RSB certification and executed real exports to European carriers. Yet this supply remains largely invisible to mainstream global procurement channels.

SkyGen changes that. We pre-qualify Chinese SAF sources for feedstock integrity, carbon accounting rigor, and international certification validity. For European airlines, we provide full ISCC EU documentation and MRV-ready data to satisfy ReFuelEU reporting. For North American clients focused on Scope 3 reductions, we deliver third-party-verified emission savings aligned with GHG Protocol standards.

Through FLGA’s global FBO network, SkyGen is extending physical and book-and-claim access beyond China’s pilot airports (e.g., Chengdu Shuangliu, Shanghai Hongqiao) into key Asian hubs. We collaborate with local into-plane providers to offer flexible blending ratios, tailored delivery schedules, and compliant invoicing—reducing hidden compliance overhead and green premium volatility.

Looking ahead, SkyGen plans to activate SAF service points in Singapore, Seoul, and Bangkok by 2027, while deepening partnerships with global FBOs to make Chinese-origin SAF a reliable, accessible, and affordable decarbonization lever worldwide.

For Chinese producers, SkyGen is a gateway to global markets. For international airlines, it is a streamlined path to credible, cost-controlled ESG performance. In an industry where green flight depends on trusted fuel connections, SkyGen is building the bridge—one verified ton at a time.
